Hello friends! I have some great news! After talking about it to my wife, the “REAL” boss of the house, I have permission to set up our guest room as a dual-purpose room. We will still need it when occasional guests come over, but any time guests are not using it (it’s often quiet), I can set up my podcast studio there!
This is great news because I was debating the best place to record the podcasts every other week. My house has a fair amount of space here and there, but children or animals often overrun it. I explained that to make a quality podcast, I needed to have lights, cameras, microphones, etc., and I was content to move them around the house when I needed to record. However, my wife is an awesome person, and she agreed it was worth having a dedicated space as long as I was willing to vacate the room when a guest needed it.
I have a few pieces of furniture to order for the room (we were going to order them anyway), but once that is done, I can start putting together more of the items in storage that I intend to use for the podcasts. I also plan to get it repainted. As you will see in the first episode, it is purple because my youngest daughter was originally going to stay in that room. Now that she is in a different room, the color of the walls is not as important. I will likely get and paint a gray or blue-green color for the walls. Of course, you may not see the difference until a few episodes in.
I also secured another guest for my podcast, a local AI entrepreneur interested in IAM. His schedule may be a little tough since he has so many other irons in the fire, but he agreed that he would like to come along when his schedule allows.
Stay Tuned! I feel like the rocket is getting fueled up, and the launchpad is getting cleared. It may take a bit to get this going, but when it’s ready, I hope to produce great content to keep you coming back.
