Hello friends! I just realized that, with all the business of life, I haven’t updated you all on my current situation. As of January 30, 2026, my contract was not renewed for another year. I saw the writing on the wall, but I was hopeful it wasn’t the case; it was. So, for the past two weeks, I have dedicated most of my time to seeking new employment or even some minor work here and there to keep the bills paid. I have filed for Unemployment but that process tends to take a while.
The good news is that at least a few of the positions I have interviewed for seem to be nearing a decision. I am hopeful that by next week I will have a plan forward. In the meantime, I obviously will not have the freedom to record any podcast episodes. However, I can assure you that one of the first episodes I want to make will cover my experiences as an unemployed IAM job seeker. The market is really tough right now, and I’ve noticed a few things that have changed since my last time in the market. I hope to share those with you all very soon. For now, it’s onward and upward!
